A Life Rescued, A Life Remembered🐂

In 2006, we rescued a young calf from an illegal and cruel cattle transport operation. He was badly injured and had lost one eye.

Despite this difficult beginning, he grew into a magnificent bull and spent nearly 15 years at our Ahimsa Organic Garden. He worked alongside our Karuna workers for many years and became one of their favorites. No matter how challenging the task, he carried it out with ease, strength, and remarkable discipline. His dedication and gentle nature earned the love and respect of everyone who knew him.

After a well-deserved retirement, he spent his later years in comfort and care.

Last night, he passed away peacefully. Today, we laid him to rest on the land he helped nurture throughout his life. As part of a traditional practice, his horns were placed slightly above the soil as a symbolic gesture of respect and remembrance.

We are deeply grateful for the years we shared with him and for all that he gave to the land, our Karuna workers, and our community.
