But this story began many years ago, when its grandmother was abandoned on the streets of Puttaparthi. She developed tetanus, and our team at Karuna Society rescued her and cared for her until she recovered.
She later became a mother.
Her daughter ,the mare in this reel recently overcame a serious episode of colic after timely treatment by our veterinarian, Dr. Vigna Tej Reddy.
Now, she has welcomed this healthy foal into the world.
This little one is the third generation of a family that exists because one abandoned mare was rescued.
