New Wildlife Centre Construction Starts Again

We are very happy to share with you that on Friday, 1 December 2023, we have officially started the second phase construction of the Karuna Wildlife Rescue Centre (animal enclosures) with a small Puja. For the marking and other technical details, one of our board members Mr. J. N. Jagadeesh, civil engineer, is helping us.

Now that we marked the Peacock enclosures, we are ready to go – thanks to a special grant from Mr. Krishnan, Singapore.

In the weeks prior to this, we have been cleaning the area, fitting doors for the kitchen and finalizing the office room. Electrical work, digging drainages and soak pits, water pipelines and connections were finalized. In January 2024, Mr. Brijraj Sharma, whose company designed our Master Plan, will visit our centre to check the progress and adjust the planning and designs. We are so excited for the animals, soon their dream of a new and larger home will be a reality!
