Dear Friends of Karuna, Donors, Well-Wishers, Board Members, and Staff,
We are wishing all of you a very Happy New Year 2026!
The year 2025 with all its hard work, problems and accomplishments is almost behind us. It is thanks to all your support and dedication that we survived another year in which we cared for 244 permanent animals, including 32 current inpatients. We sterilized 914 dogs in our area and in different municipalities.
Our main accomplishment and hard work this year is the construction of the new Wildlife Rescue Centre which will be completed within the next few months.
Food production for our animals (rice and grass) was abundant and the Ahimsa organic garden is still providing fruits and greens to the animals and the shop. Our reforestation effort is very successful and will provide food to many wild animals for many years to come!
Now the New Year 2026 is opening up to new opportunities to rescue and serve animals and nature. For this to happen, we are looking for improvements and support in different areas:
We are searching for additional animal loving staff to join the Karuna family; Volunteers are also very much welcome.
A special request for support is for the replacement of our small transport van. It has been falling apart for years and parts for repair are not available any more. The cost is approximately Rs 6,00,000 (USD $6,700).
And last but not least, please continue your support for the new wildlife rescue centre – it will secure and support the lives of many wild animals for many generations.
