Giri – The Little Survivor

Giri — The Little Survivor 🐾🌿

Seven years ago, the Forest Department reached out to us with heartbreaking news a mother bear had been electrocuted. Beside her was her tiny cub, still alive but weak, having also received a small electric shock.

We brought the baby , now lovingly called Giri to Karuna. He couldn’t move, one of his eyes was badly damaged, and he was frightened and fragile.

As he recovered, we helped the Forest Department identify the culprit behind the electrocution, and a legal case was filed.

Because he was just a baby and could never survive alone in the wild, Giri stayed on with us permanently. Over the years, he has grown up safe and loved, learning to trust again even with only one eye.

Today, Giri lives happily at Karuna, a gentle reminder of resilience, hope, and the power of second chances. 💛
