Dolly came to us after a road accident that changed his life forever. One careless moment, one speeding vehicle and his little leg was too badly injured to save. To give him a chance at life without pain, we had to amputate.
But Dolly didn’t lose his spirit.
Today, he is the loudest voice at Karuna. Every new animal, every unfamiliar person Dolly announces their arrival with confident barks, as if he’s saying, “Welcome… but I’m watching you.”
And yet, when someone comes too close, you’ll find him running softly to the terrace, hiding behind courage that’s still learning to trust again.
