This young mongoose had been troubling a farmer by eating his chicks. In desperation, the farmer set a trap and the mongoose was caught. Fortunately, instead of harming the little one, the farmer reached out to the Karuna Helpline for help.

Our team responded immediately, rescued the frightened mongoose, and safely transported the youngster away from danger. After a quick health check, we gave the mongoose a hard release in a safe natural habitat, where this small life can live freely without conflict.

Had the mongoose remained with the farmer in the cage , survival would have been uncertain.
But today, this brave little one received a second chance. 🐾💚
