Building a Wall for Wildlife Sanctuary

With locally available materials, we are constructing a 1 kilometer, 5-foot high wall for our Wildlife Sanctuary, as per the Central Zoo Authority’s guidelines. We are accepting donations to help us make this dream a reality; the rescued animals thank you for helping to build their new home!

Bear Ramaa on a Walk

Here is our rescued bear cub Raama, growing bigger every day! Karuna’s President, Clementien Pauws, is holding a small stick so she doesn’t fall when Ramaa unexpectedly jumps on her. Her ‘bear hugs” are not always comfortable but her warmth and love are deep and cannot be refused!!

Cow Sterilizations at Karuna Society

These are pictures of a sterilization of a cow. We promote this because if calfs continue to be born, the unwanted male calfs will continue to be slaughtered. We discovered this cow was pregnant and her baby will be born healthy, however she can no longer get pregnant.

Ongoing Animal Birth Control

These pics are taken in one of the three villages where we do ABC (Animal Birth Control) and anti-rabies vaccinations. Dog Romper Recovering from Skin Disease

Here is another dog we rescued from the streets. Romper is now being treated for his serious skin disease, which took off most of the hair on his body. However, he is quite lively and loves to keep a positive attitude and romp about, bringing a smile to all of our faces!
