Kunal, a sweet and innocent stray puppy, came to us with a seriously infected leg that would have taken his life if we didn’t act fast. Thanks to your generous donations, we could afford to perform surgery on little Kunal to amputate the leg that could not be saved. Now he is a happy, active
Occasionally, Karuna Society conducts Humane Education sessions for local school children. One such session was held for 20 kids of the Happy Home Trust, Puttaparthi, based on the topic, “Animals – Our Best Friends”. An interactive discussion by Karuna’s Vice President Romula D’Silva with visual aids was followed by the video by PETA, “Compassionate Citizen.”

Construction photos may not be interesting…but we’re very excited to show the progress of the BEAR & WILDLIFE SANCTUARY at Karuna Society for Animals and Nat…ure. This bear sanctuary will be the home of the baby Ramaa as well as other bears who are rescued from the pet & entertainment industry, meat trade, hunting, etc.

Our rescued bear Ramaa is not only growing up fast, but learning to be adorable, posing for visitors!
