We have built the extended cat enclosure so the additional 25 rescued cats can have an outdoor area. The traumatized kitties are doing so much better! They have gained weight and are more comfortable with our attendant.
We received information from the Forest Department about a python stuck in a fishnet at a lake in Kamavaripalli. Our Secretary Cheruvu Narendra Reddy, assisted by our Wildlife Manager Crystal and others, safely rescued and removed the dangerous netting from the snake, and it was later released in a remote forest area. Thanks to recent good rains, our water buffalo are celebrating swimming again, and eating lots of fresh grass on the hills! What a happy sight to behold! We take our rescued cattle out every day for grazing of fresh, yummy grass.
Nagamma had an accident and was paralyzed. She was then disowned by her people, left on the road in Penukonda, where Karuna’s dedicated employee Krystal found her. Micky was injured somehow and due to his owner’s neglect, maggots came into the wound. His owners abandoned him at Karuna clinic a week ago. However thanks to many treatments, his wound is healing up fast! We will try to convince his owners to take him back, but they are refusing so far. Micky loves

Heartbreaking! Someone came in the evening and dumped 7 very young puppies on Karuna’s doorstep, separated from their mother way too early.😭 We will tenderly feed and care for them and hopefully all can be adopted to loving owners.
