Karuna’s Out-Patient department is open 7 days a week and every day, locals with injured or ill dogs line up needing urgent care. They have nowhere else to go for dozens of kilometres! Each street in the town has several resident stray dogs and after years of efforts, finally the residents are taking responsibility when needed, saying, “This IS my dog!” Even homeless people with no resources, bring in their four-legged friends.
