Karuna Society has seven peafowl birds living as permanent residents in our Sanctuary. They were rescued over the course of several years, most in a helpless situation and just days from sure death alone in the wild. The Forest Department handed them over to us to care for them and rehabilitate, if possible. Unfortunately all of them have lost the skills needed to survive in the wild. We have planned bigger and more comfortable quarters for them to live in, in our new Wildlife Center!
