Sruthi was brought in by her owner with a broken leg. She’s such a sweet puppy! We put on a splint and kept her safe with us for several weeks, and now she has healed well and is walking again. Soon she’ll be ready to return home.
Where in the world can we see a buffalo die from old age? Maybe only at Karuna! This buffalo, Mabel, was rescued in 2002 from illegal transport to slaughter. She lived out her life with us, but a few hours after this picture was taken, she got her wings and left this world to journey

We have built the extended cat enclosure so the additional 25 rescued cats can have an outdoor area. The traumatized kitties are doing so much better! They have gained weight and are more comfortable with our attendant.
