Annual Staff Appreciation Meet 2023

Several days ago we gathered all our employees together for our Annual Staff Appreciation Meet! Mr. Narendra Reddy, Secretary, opened the meeting by thanking our hard working staff, and also welcoming new employees. We next discussed employee performance appraisals and accomplishments; and we invited dialogue regarding any issues.

Two awards were presented, ‘Best Senior Hard Working Employee Award’ to Mane Nallappa and ‘Multi-Talented Employee Award’ to B. Chandra Sekhar. Congratulations to both of them! 🥳🥳

Narendra explained the importance of love, affection and compassion for the wellbeing of the animals. He also explained the difficulties of getting donations from donors and their importance.

All this was followed by reporting about the staff attending the training at Tirupati Zoo and Bannerghatta Zoo. Karuna will give opportunities to the staff who are interested, to gain more knowledge about the animals and their care and attend the training opportunities that are provided by the government or others.

Mrs. Clementien, President, closed the meeting by reporting that at present all over the world, many people are deciding to stop eating animals – for health reasons, out of compassion and for problems with the environment. She advised vegan and plant based food. She hoped that her advice may be remembered in the coming years.

After the meeting, we distributed a sweet and snack box and one umbrella each, as a gift to the staff. During heavy rains and sunny weather, as experienced in the last 2 years, umbrellas are useful for protection! The staff are ready for another fulfilling year of serving the animals every day! 🥰🙏
