A villager brought this baby antelope to us as it was found alone, crying in the forest. We looked for signs of her mother, in vain. She is a very rare “four horned antelope”, almost extinct in this area. Most probably they had come to our area for drinking water. Our new buffalo pond (thanks to Help Animals India) provides water for wildlife, including antelope and we even saw pug marks of a sloth bear near the pond.

Amy the antelope is now hand reared and drinking well.
