Deer in Treatment Center
We rescue deer from the nearby forests on a regular basis. Sometimes their mother has been killed, sometimes they just wonder too near to villages or are injured. Usually we can treat them and release them in the forest again. Here is one recent patient after treatment and before we brought her to the deer
Buffalo Feeding Time!
Meal time for our many rescued buffaloes! They have a happy life thanks to a big pond to bathe in, walks in the fields for fresh grass, and supplemental grains and hay in their compound. Donations are always welcome to help us keep them nourished & happy, thanks so much!
Puppy Recovering with a Drip Medication
We saw this weak puppy on the road and brought him in for treatment. He felt much better after the drip nourishment and will be good as new before long. Thank you so much for your continued support!
Rescued Donkey Welcomes Baby
One of our rescued donkeys who had extensive injuries, is now almost fully healed. Now she has a new baby to help her enjoy her new, safe and pain-free life!
Innocent Bull Suffers

Bear Cub Ramaa Doing Well!
Our newly acquired Bear cub Ramaa is doing well, growing fast and gaining confidence! Here she is playing in the ‘Bear Paradise’ Sanctuary compound, taking a bath, and playing with her monkey toy.
Fresh Red Chilis from Karuna’s Garden
Hot red chilis, anyone? Used in so many preparations, both fresh and dried then crushed into powder, they are grown on Karuna’s Organic farm. Profits go entirely to support the rescued animals.
Bigger Sanctuary for Our Rescued Monkeys
Karuna Society cares for a number of monkeys who were electrocuted by live wires. We are hopeful that we can soon build them a bigger sanctuary, so they can remain safe, sound and happy with no more fear. Contact us if you are interested in helping with this noble project!

A large part of Karuna Society is rescuing and caring for innocent cattle, that would otherwise be abused and sent for slaughter. Why are there so many unneeded cattle?
