He had been tied with a heavy metal chain, and in a moment of panic when monkeys entered the compound, the chain twisted and became lodged painfully into his jaw. The poor boy was terrified, unable to move, and every second brought more suffering.
At our hospital, the dog was defensive at first fear and pain had taken over his gentle spirit. With anesthesia and calm hands, our veterinary team carefully freed him from the cruel grip of the chain. Slowly, the weight was lifted, and for the first time in hours, he could relax without pain. 💚
After treatment and care, he was able to return home safely. But this rescue was also a lesson. We gently explained to the family that chaining a dog can lead to trauma, aggression, and terrible accidents like this. Allowing dogs to move freely in a safe space not only keeps them healthier, it also makes them calmer and happier companions.
