Monitor Lizard: Rescue, Rehab, Release

Rescue • Rehab • Release 🦎🌿

Our team at Karuna Society for Animals, in coordination with the Forest Department, responded to a distress call from Anantapur involving a monitor lizard —a protected species targeted in an attempted poaching for meat.

The animal was found with a broken legs. We provided urgent medical care and rehabilitation, ensuring a safe and complete recovery. 💚

Once fully healed, the lizard was released into a reserve forest, with the support of the Forest Department. 🏞️

A case has been booked against those responsible for the poaching attempt. Wildlife protection is a shared responsibility—every life matters.
