Cookie is a stray dog who lived in a village near to Karuna Society. Somehow she broke both her legs and was suffering on the street. A kind village child picked her up and brought her into Karuna Society.
With a lot of love, care, and medicines thanks to your loving donations, Cookie recovered and can walk around now! She is now one of the permanent residents of Karuna. She keeps an eagle eye on the gate and greets everyone who walks in, and is very affectionate too.
We discovered that Cookie is a natural cow herder! Cookie started to go out with our rescued cows when we took them out grazing. She would make sure they all stayed in line and didn’t wander off.
One of the cows had a tendency to slip away and escape, so we have to keep a rope through her muzzle. One day the cow sneaked away from the herd and Cookie ran after her, grabbed hold of the rope in her mouth, and brought the cow back to the herd! Thank you, dear Cookie!
