🌧️ Only the Females Were Left Behind… 💔🐾

Last month, we received a late-evening call from a super-specialty doctor. On his way home, near the airport roadside ditch, he heard faint cries. When he stopped to check, he found tiny puppies struggling in the rain. The ditch was filling with water and they wouldn’t have survived much longer.

Without a second thought, he rescued them. ❤️

He called Karuna Society immediately, but it was already late at night, so we couldn’t reach the location. The next morning, we went there and that’s when we learned something heartbreaking:

All the puppies were female.

In many rural areas, families keep one or two male dogs and abandon the females often by drowning them or leaving them where they cannot survive. These babies were meant to face the same fate… but this time, compassion arrived before cruelty could finish its job. 🥺🐶
