The Karuna/Ahimsa shop enables us to connect with the public and visitors of Puttaparthi. Our focus is to provide information about animals, their suffering and to explain how compassionate people can help. We provide information about all Karuna projects and the local animals. People can make appointments for Animal Birth Control (ABC), inform us about an animal in distress and give donations to support our work. The TV in the shop will show all our animal related videos and we can talk to people about animal welfare and all animal related issues.

We will sell lettuce and vegetables, grown at the Ahimsa Farm, where our 200+ rescued cows and buffaloes are living their peaceful lives, and deliver cruelty-free compost for the garden.

Karuna’s President, Clementien, has a special interest in these matters, and she hopes the shop will function as an ongoing awareness program and a source of public support. We have appointed a new employee for Karuna, Jaya, to take care of the shop and greet customers and visitors. Clementien will be there as well as time permits.
