Dear Friends of Karuna,<\/p>\n

WOW! September 18th was Karuna’s 20th Birthday!! What a long and emotional road it has been, from humble beginnings of helping homeless stray dogs; to intercepting, rescuing and sheltering hundreds of healthy young cattle headed to slaughter (many still with us after nearly 20 years); to thousands of strays treated, sterilized and vaccinated; to challenging wildlife rescues. Scores of animals (domestic and wild) have found lifelong care and shelter under the loving attention of our Karuna team.<\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

As a way of celebrating, we held a local\u00a0Anti-Rabies Vaccination Drive<\/strong>\u00a0on September 18th through 23rd. Our Secretary Cheruvu Narendra Reddy opened the event by vaccinating two dogs adopted by Sri RJ Ratnakar, Managing Trustee of Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust. Also in attendance was Assistant Engineer of Puttaparthi Municipality, Shri Murlidharan. We strictly followed Covid safety protocols to keep our staff and the public safe. In total, we vaccinated over 500 dogs for the health and safety of not only the animals, but the people of Puttaparthi as well.<\/p>\n

To all of you who have been our constant supporters and well-wishers throughout the years, THANK YOU! We couldn’t have done any of this without your valuable contribution. Here’s to many more years of serving the animals!<\/p>\n
