Karuna Society has rescued a number of bears over the years – both from abusive captivity and what would have been otherwise fatal injuries and dangerous circumstances in the wild. Currently we have six sloth bear permanent residents in their own compound, built thanks to a generous donation from Phillip Wollen and “Free the Bears”, Australia. Our bears Balu, Krishna, Arjuna, Sai, Giri and Ramaa, love exploring their compound, dipping in the bathing pool, climbing the trees, and socialising with each other! Thanks to your donations, they remain healthy and safe. THANK YOU!
